The Viewsonic V35 is a new player in the Pocket PC arena. Viewsonic
decided to enter along with Dell to offer a more affordable Pocket PC. The
V35 has been pretty well received and may be a decent product. But a first
effort is usually not the best effort. Viewsonic will probably get even better
products on the market if the V35 turns out to be successful.
The V35 may be a good choice for anyone on a budget. It's a remarkably
affordable Pocket PC and doesn't seem to have any fatal flaws. The V35 and
Axim are competing for the low-end market. The Viewsonic V35 is particularly
small, which will appeal to some people. It's certainly one of the smallest
Pocket PCs, if not the smallest.
The Viewsonic V35 has gotten decent enough ratings, but nothing to get too
excited about. Of 65 votes on one web site, 68% recommended the V35.
Professional Ratings: 7 out of 10 (3 reviews)
User Ratings: 7.8 out of 10 (32 reviews)
The V35 has been criticized for a short battery life. Furthermore, the
battery indicator may not accurately tell you how much charge you have left.
Additionally, some users have reported that although 64 MB of memory is
advertised, only 32 MB is actually available to the user.
