The Sony NZ90 is one of Sony's ongoing attempts to create the ultimate
electronic toy that you can put in your pocket. The NZ90 is feature-rich and will
make all your friends say "Cool!" It's expensive, but if price is a big issue
for you, then the NZ90 is probably not for you.
The Sony NZ90 is a little bigger than most PDAs, but that's because it's
packed full of goodies. It's got a 2 megapixel camera with a flash. It can
record and play MPEG-4 videos. You can listen to your favorite MP3s. And the
NZ90 allows you to record voice memos. Like its predecessors, it has a
built-in mini keyboard. And built-in bluetooth gives it wireless capabilities.
The NZ90 does not, however, have Wi-Fi.
The Sony NZ90 has gotten good ratings. You'll just need to decide if it's
good enough to warrant the price tag. Of 157 votes on one web site, 76%
recommended the Sony NZ90.
Professional Ratings: 8.8 out of 10 (2 reviews)
User Ratings: 8.2 out of 10 (26 reviews)
Although the ratings are certainly better than most other PDAs, 24% of the
votes mentioned above did not recommend the NZ90. Why? Not surprisingly,
many of them believe the NZ90 is simply overpriced. It's also been criticized
for being too big and having a short battery life. Both of these may well be a
result of the numerous fancy features the NZ90 has. In fact, some people even
complain that it has too many features.
