The Palm m515 is a slightly better version of the m130. It has more memory and
is just a bit smaller. There is a substantial price increase over the m130, so
you'd have to decide if it's worth the extra features to pay more for the
Palm m515.
The Palm m515 is still primarily useful for organization. It doesn't have
all the bells and whistles of the newer models. So it's not a multimedia toy.
But the m515 should be decent choice as an organizational tool.
The Palm m515 comes with 16 MB of memory. There's an expansion slot to add
more memory, but the memory card costs extra. The m515 has a 160 X 160 color screen.
All of the ratings of the Palm m515 are well above average. This is true for
professional reviews as well as reviews by people who actually own an m515. Of 2,007 votes
on one web site, 88% recommended the Palm m515. That's pretty good.
Professional Ratings: 7.7 out of 10 (3 reviews)
User Ratings: 7.4 out of 10 (160 reviews)
Although most people who use the Palm m515 are happy with it, there are a
couple of consistent complaints from those people who don't like their m515.
First, some units seem to work well for a while, but then suddenly die or
begin receiving a lot of errors. Second, after working for a while some units
seem to start having problems syncing with a PC.
While you should consider these problems in any buying decision, remember
that most m515 users do not experience these problems. Low screen resolution
was cited as a problem in a professional review. This may be a black mark against
the m515 considering its price. But it may not be a deal breaker.
