Toshiba e740 Review

The Toshiba e740 is a pretty good Pocket PC overall. It's got some nice features and slim design. But there are a couple of issues that have turned some people against teh e740 (read the ratings section below).

The Toshiba e740 has 64 MB of memory and good processor. You can use it to play MP3 files, record voice memos, and play MPEG-4 videos. Additionally, an expansion slot is available if you need more memory. And the e740 has integrated Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.

The Toshiba e740 has gotten very good reviews and very bad. The bad reviews have come from the users and not the professional reviewers. Of 586 votes on one web site, 70% recommended the e740, which is not bad.

The user ratings for the e740 above seem average, but are actually poor compared to most other Pocket PCs. And this seems to be due to two problems. First, a number of e740 customers have complained of poor customer support from Toshiba. Second, the battery in the e740 seems to have a short life, and a number of users have lost all of their data when the battery unexepectedly died.
